Jonathan Joss' husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, shared a statement a day after the 'King of the Hill' star was fatally shot at his property in San Antonio, Texas during a dispute with a neighbor. Gonzales claimed he and Joss had been facing "years of threats" due to their sexuality and the shooting came after a spew of "violent homophobic slurs.

He was murdered by someone who could not stand the sight of two men loving each other,” Joss's husband said in his statement, which went on to thank Joss’ friends and fans.
