Joining the lineup now means shaking up the rotation at DH, first base, and catcher, especially for Ben Rice, who emerged as an early-season staple. Manager Aaron Boone confirmed Rice will “likely get time at catcher as well as first base and DH” as Stanton and Paul Goldschmidt rotate for rest.

Stanton is set to be activated off the injured list ahead of tonight’s game.
