Taliban’s global influence grows amid Pakistan skirmishes
Last week, Pakistani drones struck targets inside the Afghan capital of Kabul and at a bazaar in Afghanistan’s Paktika province. The strikes targeted the Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan terrorist group, with the TTP stating that two “important” members had been killed.
Afghanistan woke up to a total internet blackout on Tuesday after the ruling Taliban vowed to cut off access as part of a crackdown on “immoral activities,” sparking fears of further isolation for millions living under their increasingly harsh rule.
Restrictions have been placed on content on some social media platforms in Afghanistan, Taliban government sources told BBC Afghan.
