The Atlanta Dream are playing without injured All-Star Rhyne Howard and could use a boost Wednesday afternoon against the host Chicago Sky.

Rhyne Howard, the Dream’s explosive guard and recent All-Star selection, suffered a left knee injury during Atlanta’s July 11 game. After a medical evaluation, the team confirmed she’ll be sidelined for the remainder of July.

Rhyne Howard has been diagnosed with a left knee injury and is set to miss the remainder of the month for the Dream.

Rhyne Howard will miss the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game after suffering a left knee injury during the Atlanta Dream ’ s 99–82 loss to the Indiana Fever last Friday. The Dream confirmed Monday that Howard suffered a left knee injury, and she is expected to be sidelined through at least the end of July.

Atlanta heads into a matchup with Chicago after losing four straight road games. The teams meet Wednesday for the third time this season.

The Indiana Fever got their 10th win of the season with a 99-82 victory over the Atlanta Dream on Friday night.

The 25-year-old is expected to make a full recovery, though the Dream did not provide a specific date for when she will return.

Minnesota Lynx guard Kayla McBride has been named to the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game as a replacement player for Atlanta Dream guard Rhyne Howard, the league announced Tuesday. McBride, who was selected by WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert, will take Howard's spot on Team Collier, led by her Lynx teammate, Napheesa Collier.
