Longtime Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was buried on Sunday after a massive funeral procession in Beirut, nearly five months after he was killed in an Israeli airstrike during the latest Israel-Hezbollah war.

Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli air strike in September 2024, and Israel continued attacks on Lebanon in the hours ahead of his funeral despite a ceasefire deal in place.

Security was deployed on the streets of Beirut on Sunday (February 23) as tens of thousands of people gathered for the funeral of former Hezbollah leaders Hassan Nasrallah and Hashem Safieddine at Lebanon's biggest sports arena.
