Hurricanes top Capitals 3-2 in SO in a matchup of the top teams in the Eastern Conference standings
Brandon Bussi stopped all three shots in a shootout to lift the Carolina Hurricanes to a 3-2 victory over the Washington Capitals in a matchup of the top two teams in the Eastern Conference standings
The Carolina Hurricanes picked up their second straight win last night with a 3-2 shootout win over the Capitals. Hurricanes’ goalie Brandon Bussi got the start in net, and he picked up his tenth win in his 11th career start,
“Things happen at random times,” said Bussi, who has looked just as worthy of being in the NHL as those big-name prospects he shared the ice with at the AHL All-Star Game in 2023. “You can’t predict it. It just happens, especially for goalies. So I’m just fortunate that I’ve been able to help the team out.”
