As the sky began to lighten over the University of Oregon, Matt Kearney treated attendees of "College GameDay" to a live version of his song "Coming Home (Oregon)." Fan happily sang back the folksy tune, dancing with arms around friends and cheering for the musician.

But midway through the broadcast, longtime analyst Kirk Herbstreit had to step away, not because of an emergency, but because of another major assignment. Herbstreit was headed south to Dallas to call the famed Red River Rivalry between the No. 6 Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Longhorns, scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

Much like Matthew McConaughey in a 2000s romantic-comedy, Pat McAfee can't stop taking off his shirt and he had a partner join him on College Gameday.
