A flash flood warning was released by the NWS Raleigh NC on Monday at 5:11 p.m. in effect until 8:15 p.m. for Guilford County.

Residents in San Antonio were recovering after a month's worth of rain swamped parts of the city, trapping drivers, triggering treacherous water rescues, and leaving more than a dozen people dead.

A multi-day severe weather threat is setting up in the High Plains and Upper Midwest this week with potential large hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes. Meanwhile, more flooding rain is possible in parts of the Appalachians and Ohio Valley plagued by flooding last weekend.

On Sunday at 9:28 p.m. a flash flood warning was issued by the NWS Newport/Morehead City NC in effect until Monday at 12:30 a.m. for Pitt County.

At 11:18 p.m. on Sunday, the NWS Newport/Morehead City NC issued a flash flood warning in effect until Monday at 2:30 a.m. for Dare County.

At 12:11 a.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued an updated flash flood warning for Allegheny and Washington counties.

The death toll from weekend flooding in West Virginia rose to six as residents tried to clean up with the threat of more rain on the way.
