Alaska Airlines flight attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA), have ratified a new three-year contract.

“Flying is often seen as a safe and organized experience, but the reality is that there are many things passengers don’t know,” Barbara Bacilleri, 31, a travel influencer from Argentina, told JamPress. “Things that can turn a flight into an uncomfortable or even dangerous situation.”

Alaska Airlines (NYSE:ALK) flight attendants represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA formally approved a new contract on Friday. The union said the contract was approved by 95% of the voting members.

The move concludes more than two years of negotiations and sets the stage for more bargaining with Alaska and Hawaiian flight attendants later this year.
