Floridians massed throughout the state Saturday for the second national No Kings day demonstrations against the increasingly authoritarian second Trump administration, marked as it is by aggressive immigration enforcement and prosecutions of the president’s enemies.

Thousands of people were out on street corners and waving signs in Central Florida as part of a nationwide "No Kings" protest on Saturday.

About 2,500 "No Kings" protests are expected to happen Oct. 18, according to the "No Kings" website, including more than 80 in Florida.

More than 1,000 demonstrators are expected to gather in Boca Raton on Saturday as part of a nationwide movement protesting what organizers call authoritarian overreach by the current administration.

National organizers have encouraged attendees to wear yellow as a sign of "collective strength in the face of oppression," and focus on "community and joy" during Saturday's events – encouraging humorous signs and costumes, like the viral inflatable frog outfit worn by protestors in Portland and Chicago in recent weeks.

There are over 2,500 events scheduled for No Kings protests on Oct. 18 across the nation. This is the second round of No Kings protests since June 14, which saw over 1,800 events scheduled nationwide.
