Tears and laughter flowed freely Sunday at the Jackson Revival Center as family, friends and officers said goodbyes to Hinds County Deputy Martin Shields Jr.

Law enforcement officers across the state could be seen traveling through the capital city Sunday, all to honor the ultimate sacrifice that Deputy Shields made.

The processional for Hinds County Deputy Martin Shields Jr.‘s celebration of life was scheduled for Sunday afternoon.Deputy Shields was killed in the line of duty Sunday, February 23, while responding to a domestic call.
