The National Investigation Agency (NIA) formally took over the probe into the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi expressed his country’s backing for Pakistan’s efforts to safeguard its sovereignty and security interests during a phone call with Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Sunday.

After the attack, India and Pakistan unleashed a raft of measures against each other, with Pakistan closing its airspace to Indian airlines and India suspending the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty that regulates water-sharing from the Indus River and its tributaries.
