The Iowa State Cyclones suffered their second straight loss on the road to the Colorado Buffaloes in Week 7. Despite coming into this game as a slight favorite, the Cyclones were unable to get the victory heading into their second bye week.

The Iowa State Cyclones knew that they had some huge shoes to fill on the offensive side of the ball this offseason. Their top two wide receivers from 2024, Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel, were both off to the professional ranks.

The Colorado Buffaloes defeated the No. 21 Iowa State Cyclones 24-21 at Folsom Field. Quarterback Kaidon Salter threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. Colorado's defense held Iowa State to 2 for 12 on third downs and secured a key interception.

The No. 21 Cyclones lost a back-and-forth battle to Colorado (3-4, 1-3). It was the Buffaloes' first conference win of the season and their first win over a ranked opponent since coach Deion Sanders' debut victory over TCU on Sept. 2, 2023.

The Iowa State Cyclones are heading into Week 7 hoping to bounce back after their first loss of the season. Week 6 was a challenging game on the road for the Cy
