“Terminator” writer-director James Cameron fears that his classic film about artificial intelligence nearly destroying humanity could end up coming true if the real world version of AI is ever connected to weapons systems.

James Cameron says the possibility of a nuclear holocaust a la 'The Terminator' franchise is very real if AI becomes weaponized.

"We're at this cusp in human development," Cameron said in a new interview, warning against combining nuclear weapons and artificial intelligence.
