Shenault was a former second-round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars and put up a combined 1,200 receiving yards in his first two seasons with the team. It wasn't until the Jaguars traded him to Carolina where Shenault was even attempted to be used as a return specialist.

Shenault had the 10th most return yards in the NFL last season with 459 yards, one touchdown and an average of 28.7 yards per return.
