A video game market report states that the Nintendo Switch 2 has sold quite well within its first three months of availability.
Nintendo’s recent animated short Close to You initially appeared as a gentle, mysterious vignette: a baby’s pacifier drifts and floats, seemingly alive, as the child chases after it in a softly lit nursery.
While there were hints of Pikmin in the original, this version of the short is filled with them interacting with various objects.
Nintendo has its own dedicated animation team. Nintendo announced it had acquired Dynamo Pictures in 2022 “to strengthen the planning and production structure of visual content in the Nintendo group,” renaming the studio to Nintendo Pictures. The studio's goal, Nintendo says, is to "focus on development of visual content utilizing Nintendo IP."
