PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The latest round of flooding concerns grows across western Oregon as another round of rain from an atmospheric river returns to the Pacific Northwest. The Portland National Weather Service has issued a ‘Flood Watch‘ that goes into effect Wednesday night and lasts through Friday night.
"The flooding levels we're looking at are potentially historic in nature," Gov. Bob Ferguson said Thursday afternoon, urging people to listen to official advice and follow evacuation orders.
The Pacific Northwest is expected to see up to seven inches of rain this week, as the eastern United States braces for arctic cold.
