Tyrese Maxey and the Philadelphia 76ers edged Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics 102-100 on Tuesday, thanks to a late Kelly Oubre Jr. putback, securing a home win despite the absence of Joel Embiid.

PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia 76ers are sitting at 6-4 thanks to the stellar play of Tyrese Maxey. He's averaging 33.2 points, 8.2 assists, and 4.9 rebounds while shooting 47% from the floor and 44.1% from deep on the season.

Tyrese Maxey recalled inviting the entire team to an early morning workout, but only VJ Edgecombe and Trenton Wofford showed up.

Tyrese Maxey had 33 points and seven assists for Philadelphia while Andre Drummond had 17 points and 12 rebounds, Jabari Walker had 12 points and five rebounds, Kelly Oubre Jr. had 13 points, and Quentin Grimes added 13 off the bench. VJ Edgecombe had 11 points to chip in.

Tyrese Maxey scored 43 points and rookie VJ Edgecombe added 26 as the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Orlando Magic 136-124.
