Junior Bridgeman, the All-American at Louisville who went on to have a successful NBA career with the Milwaukee Bucks — and an even more successful career as an entrepreneur who became a billionaire after his playing days — has died at the age of 71.

Bridgeman, whose jersey number 2 was retired by the franchise back in 1988 and was inducted into the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999, purchased a 10% stake in the Bucks last September and was widely considered to be one of the wealthiest NBA players of all time with a reported net worth of $600 million.
