Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) will not seek to remain as ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee and is endorsing Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), his rival for the role, to succeed him.

“Jerry Nadler’s a critical barometer for Manhattan voters, especially on the west side,” he said. “I’ve long said: Texas has oil and the Upper West Side has prime Democratic voters.
