The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) announced Tuesday that speed cameras are going live this week on Interstate 90 (I-90) and Interstate 5 (I-5) in Spokane and Skagit counties.
Along with the Washington Traffic Safety Commission and Washington State Patrol, WSDOT placed live cameras in Spokane and Skagit counties in an effort to reduce the number of speed-related crashes.
Traffic cameras at two intersections in Marion will be installed and ready to go live for a 30-day warning period starting sometime next week, according to Marion Police Chief Mike Kitsmiller.
