The No. 4 Chicago Cubs evened the series with a 6-0 home win over the No. 1 Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Division Series, forcing a decisive Game 5 after falling behind 0-2.
The Tigers mounted a comeback against the Mariners in the day's opening game, keeping their season alive and forcing an ALDS Game 5 on Friday night. The Cubs staved off their own elimination with a Game 3 win over the rival Brewers, and the Phillies blew out the Dodgers to avoid an NLDS sweep.
Chicago's win was headlined by a four-run first inning that started with a leadoff homerun from first baseman Michael Busch. Not only was the homer for Busch his second of the series against the Brewers, but it made MLB postseason history in the process.
