The “No Kings” protest against Trump administration policies drew one of the largest crowds ever seen at Fountain Square in downtown Evanston late Saturday morning. A half hour after the rally started at 10:30 a.m. people were still filtering into the square and beginning to fill up adjoining streets and plazas.
It was no sporting event with costumed fans holding up creative posters and signs, but the "No Kings" redux protests brought out plenty.
Organizers of the "No Kings" protests are preparing another round of nationwide demonstrations in opposition to the Trump administration's actions.
Organizers, including the ACLU of Hawaii, expect a large turnout at the peaceful rallies.
