Rep. Phil Jensen, R-Rapid City, failed to gain enough support in the House to pass his bill requiring the display of the state seal and motto “Under God, the People Rule” in public school classrooms.
Rapid City Stevens High School seniors Sakurako Tinant, 17, and Arabella Scott, 17, were met with flowers, proud school staff and a South Dakota Seal of Biliteracy in the main office on Thursday.
