A cold front that brought flash flooding and severe thunderstorms to the Southern California region has made its way east, but some scattered shows remain Friday morning.

As Southern California recovers from last month’s devastating wildfires, heavy rains Thursday resulted in pockets of flooding, blocked roadways and mud piling up around recent burn scars.

The storm prompted evacuation orders, as officials warned of flash floods in burn-scarred areas near the Eaton and Palisades fires and cautioned drivers to stay off the roads.
