Tyler Perry's "Beauty in Black," could be headed for Season 2 after the creator sent out a teaser on Instagram.

Tyler Perry is a media giant. As one of the most prolific creators in entertainment (or any other industry), Tyler Perry’s workhorse nature can make it difficult for casual fans to keep up with all of his projects across linear and streaming.

The Tyler Perry series “ Beauty in Black ” has been renewed for Season 2 at Netflix, Variety has learned. The news comes less than a week after the debut of Part 2 of Season 1, which dropped on March 6. The first half of the series originally debuted on Oct. 24. As with the first season, Season 2 will be released in two parts.

With the release of Beauty in Black part 2, attention turns to Tyler Perry's next Netflix projects for 2025, including new shows and an old favorite.

The season 8 finale of Tyler Perry’s “Sistas” will air on Wednesday, March 12. The finale will air at 9 p.m. ET on BET. Those without cable can watch the show for free through Philo, FuboTV or DirecTV Stream each offering a free trial to new users. Sling is another option for streaming the show, and promotional offers are available.

The streamer announced the renewal Wednesday, six days after the second half of the show’s first season debuted. The new batch of episodes returned Beauty in Black to Netflix ‘s worldwide top 10 for the week of March 3-9 after part one (released in October 2024) spent four weeks on the list.
