Tyrese Maxey has made strides every year of his career, from coming off the bench for the Philadelphia 76ers to earning an All-Star nod and being named Most Improve Player a year ago.

The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Charlotte Hornets 125-121 in their home opening at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday night, thanks to another outstanding performance from Tyrese Maxey.

PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia 76ers played host to the Orlando Magic on Monday night looking to keep things rolling in the right direction. Things would be tough as Philadelphia was missing Joel Embiid and Dominick Barlow in this one, but the Sixers still had Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe to lead the way.

Oubre arrived in Philly about two years ago as a last-minute addition aiming to revive his career. He's since become a mainstay with the Sixers and a major asset to their 3-0 start.
