The Cincinnati Reds have acquired third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes from the Pittsburgh Pirates in advance of Thursday's Major League Baseball trade deadline, the teams announced Wednesday. In return the Pirates will receive lefty reliever Taylor Rogers and shortstop prospect Sammy Stafura and cash.

The Cincinnati Reds have acquired third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes from the Pittsburgh Pirates. The trade was made Wednesday afternoon just over 24 hours away from the 2025 MLB trade deadline.

The Reds are sending number eight-ranked prospect and shortstop Sammy Stafura and relief pitcher Taylor Rogers in exchange for Hayes. Stafura was the Reds second round draft pick in 2023. Taylor Rogers was acquired via trade from the San Francisco Giants this offseason.
