Regardless of the Wings' losing record to this point, this Tuesday showdown was always going to be an uphill battle for Indiana. This is owed to the fact that all three of the team's rostered point guards (Caitlin Clark, Aari McDonald, and Sydney Colson) from one week ago are sidelined with injuries (McDonald and Colson's being season-ending).

Clark played 25 minutes and scored 14 points on 4-of-12 shooting in the July 13 victory, but Clark missed both of the other two contests against the Wings in 2025. Indiana is 8-5 with Clark and 10-9 on the season without her. Fever head coach Stephanie White did provide a bit of an update on Clark's progress toward an eventual return on Monday.

Kentucky Fried Chicken, also known as KFC, is bringing back its potato wedges and hot wings due to customer demand starting Aug. 18.
