WEST PALM BEACH, Florida (Reuters) -The Air Force One program may be further delayed until 2029 or years later, a senior administration official said, citing supply chain issues and changing requirements, after the White House said the project failed to deliver a new plane on time over the weekend.
Among the ways being discussed to force faster delivery of two presidential planes are relaxing security clearances for Boeing workers and even purchasing a temporary luxury plane and retrofitting it.
The Trump administration has blocked The Associated Press from traveling with President Trump on Air Force One and also from covering an Oval Office event.
