The Raiders fired head coach Antonio Pierce on Tuesday following a bleak 4-13 campaign in his first full season on the job.

ESPN reported that general manager Tom Telesco, also hired last January, will remain in his role. Pierce marks the sixth head coach to be fired in the NFL since the beginning of the 2024 season, joining the Jaguars, Patriots, Bears, Saints and Jets.

With home field advantage and a first-round bye secured, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, along with most of the team's starters, rested against Denver. Mahomes and Co. finished with a 15-2 record, becoming one of nine teams in NFL history to win 15+ games in the regular season.
