STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — New York City residents, particularly those along the coast, are urged by New York City Emergency Management to prepare for the storm forecast to impact the five boroughs this weekend. The storm is expected to bring gusty winds, heavy rain and the threat of coastal flooding to the city from Sunday through Monday.
Green-Wood Cemetery, which sits at the highest natural elevation in Brooklyn, has long been vulnerable to flooding due to its varied sloping landscape, and 3-acre pond at the center.
