Multiple people have died and several are missing after an explosion rocked Accurate Energetic Systems, according to the Hickman County Sheriff’s Office. The company's website says it makes and tests explosives at an eight-building facility that sprawls across wooded hills near Bucksnort.

The Salvation Army is in Tennessee to support those impacted by an explosion at a munitions facility that took the lives of 16 people.

Local, state, and federal officials are offering their prayers for those affected by the deadly explosion at a Bucksnort manufacturing facility.

An explosion at Accurate Energetic Systems in Tennessee occurred Friday morning, leading to multiple casualties and several missing individuals.

According to its website, AES LLC sells explosives and “energetic products” to the military and aerospace industries as well as commercial demolition companies. Its production site in Bucksnort, Tennessee, was cited for five OSHA violations in November 2019, two of them marked as serious, though the case against them was closed in March 2023.

All 16 people inside the building that exploded at Accurate Energetic Systems Oct. 10 are dead, Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis said at an Oct. 11 press conference.

The fundraising initiative aims to help offset costs that families may face in the wake of their loss. Anderson is using his business platform at farmers markets across the Midstate to raise money for those impacted by the explosion.
