Pat Cummins has conceded he is unlikely to be fit for the first Ashes Test against England in Perth next month as the Australia captain continues his recovery from a stress injury in his back.

Cummins indicated the stiffness was now subsiding, and he hoped to be transition towards bowling with his gym work in the next week.
