The Bihar government has decided to appoint 140 full-time 'protection officers' across the state to support women affected by domestic violence more effectively.

Seven people were arrested from Jharkhand's Ranchi for their alleged involvement in kidnapping the vice-president of a mining company in Odisha's Keonjhar district, police said on Sunday.
