Two people are dead and three people were seriously injured, including two California Highway Patrol officers, after a fleeing driver and two pursuing officers crashed into a sound wall on Interstate 238 in San Leandro Saturday.

A pedestrian died after they were hit by multiple vehicles on Interstate 580 in Pleasanton Thursday. The person was hit on the eastbound side of I-580, east of Foothill Road at about 8:58 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
