The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Services teams continue to respond following Friday’s devastating explosion at a manufacturer of demolition and military explosives

The Hickman County Sheriff's Office said an explosion occurred at Accurate Energetic Systems in the Bucksnort area on Friday, Oct. 10.

Fire officials say the flames jumped to a nearby home and caused heat damage to others. The fire was brought under control by 9:15 p.m. but was not fully extinguished, causing crews from Hibbing and six neighboring departments to remain on scene.

As investigators continue to comb through the wreckage of an explosion in Tennessee that left 18 people unaccounted for Friday, Nexstar’s WKRN has learned more about the company that operated the facility.
