After 5 years at Michigan, Jace Howard enters transfer portal
The son of former Michigan head coach Juwan Howard has entered the transfer portal, a program spokesperson confirmed on Monday. Howard, a 6-foot-8 forward, will be applying for a medical redshirt after only appearing in five games this season. His true freshman season in 2020-21 did not count against his eligibility due to the NCAA’s COVID waiver.
It has only been a few days since Michigan’s season ended in Atlanta, but the first week of the offseason has been eventful.
Four Michigan basketball players have departed for the transfer portal and two have come in —and more are expected.
