The Athletics reportedly traded star closer Mason Miller and starting pitcher J.P. Sears to the Padres for four players, including a top prospect.

Padres GM AJ Preller was his usual aggressive self, trading some of his farm system’s best talent to acquire Miller, a dynamic relievers, and a dependable starter in Sears.
