Florida Panthers star Sam Bennett was called for goalie interference in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final, but it will not keep him from camping out in front of the net.

After a disputed goaltender interference penalty in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers, Sam Bennett gave a brief but striking response that has fueled debate among fans and analysts.

Bennett set an NHL record by scoring his 12th road goal of the playoffs to help Florida even the Stanley Cup Final with a 5-4 double-overtime victory against the Edmonton Oilers in Game 2 at Rogers Place on Friday.

Bennett took up residency in the Oilers crease on his first goal, which was allowed to stand after a review when Edmonton challenged it.

For Edmonton, Connor McDavid had three assists, including his dazzling stickhandling and feed to Leon Draisaitl on the power play. Draisaitl had two more points (one goal, one assist), and Corey Perry scored with 18 seconds left in the third period to force overtime.
