Through the early part of this offseason, rampant trade rumors surrounded Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. The New York Giants were interested, as were the Las Vegas Raiders and presumably other teams.

Matthew Stafford required only three weeks to accomplish what the 37-year-old quarterback and the Los Angeles Rams needed seven months to accomplish last offseason: agreeing to a new contract.

After a saga that created doubt surrounding Matthew Stafford‘s future with the team, the Rams agreed to a restructured deal with Stafford to keep him in Los Angeles.
