President Donald Trump's decision to accept a $400 million jet from the Qatari royal family as a gift to the U.S. has cast a shadow over his trip to the Middle East this week.

Trump spent Tuesday in Saudi Arabia meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman before heading to Qatar on Wednesday.

Qatar Airways will buy 160 jets from Boeing, the companies announced Wednesday during President Donald Trump’s visit there, as Trump is expected to accept a $400 million jet from the country, despite bipartisan criticism of security and conflict-of-interest concerns.
