The man accused of assaulting a flight crew and passengers on a Breeze Airways plane headed to Los Angeles appeared in court Thursday.

David Leroy Carter, 46, was arrested by Colorado police after forcing an emergency landing. The passenger was “intoxicated” and had to be restrained twice after shouting racial insults.
