All-Star right fielder and Seattle Mariners legend Ichiro Suzuki was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2025. But even as Ichiro was awarded the honor alongside CC Sabathia and Billy Wagner, it was his speech that stole the show.
Hall of Fame weekend is underway in Cooperstown and the big event will be the official induction of Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia, Billy Wagner, Dave Parker and Dick Allen in a ceremony on Sunday. A funny thing in reflecting on this class is there's excellent diversity.
Tom Hamilton joined Jimmy Dudley and Jack Graney in representing Cleveland as winners of the Ford C. Frick Award.
Just this past month, the Rangers broke out their red hats for the first time this year vs. the Mariners. The red hats were the club’s only hats for its first three playoff seasons and a regular part of the rotation in the 2010-11 World Series runs.
It was an emotional day for the friends and family members of this year’s Clinton & Centre County Baseball Hall of Fame inductees. This year’s emcee, Dave Peters, welcomed everyone to the event and expressed his gratitude at being given the opportunity to speak.
