South Carolina football coach Shane Beamer fired his offensive line coach, Lonnie Teasley, after the Gamecocks lost to LSU on Oct. 11.

On Sunday, Beamer felt compelled to do something he’s never done as a head coach. He fired an assistant coach midseason.

The Gamecocks (3-2, 1-2 SEC) start with No. 11 LSU on Oct. 11 (7:45 p.m., SEC Network) then have Oklahoma (No. 6), Alabama (No. 8), Ole Miss (No. 4) then Texas A&M (No. 5).
