Barbie announced Wednesday it will celebrate the seven-time Grand Slam champion and gender equality advocate with a collectible doll modeled after her 2007 Wimbledon victory look, featuring an all-white outfit paired with a green gem necklace, wristband, racket and tennis ball.

Barbie has unveiled a Venus Williams doll as part of its Inspiring Women collection, commemorating the seven-time Grand Slam champion for her forehands, titles, and her advocacy. Williams is joining the ranks of Maya Angelou, Ida B Wells, Celia Cruz and Anna Sui, among others in the Barbie Inspiring Women Series.

Tennis legend Venus Williams is the latest figure to join Barbie’s Inspiring Women collection, with a new doll celebrating her 2007 Wimbledon victory and fight for equal prize money. Launched in 2018, Barbie’s Inspiring Women series pays tribute to historical figures who have made extraordinary contributions to society.
