Four days after rapper NBA YoungBoy came to the Smoothie King Center and did his thing, NBA Long Boy (San Antonio Spurs’ center Victor Wembanyama) came and did the same. The New Orleans Pelicans lost 120-116 in overtime to Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs Friday night.

While Victor Wembanyama has wowed, the Spurs center explained his brilliance following a Spurs win vs the Mavericks in the season opener.

In the Spurs' regular-season opener against the Dallas Mavericks, Wembanyama simply eviscerated his competition. He went into volcano mode and spewed 40 points on 15-of-21 shooting from the field, 15 rebounds, and three blocked shots. The French native also provided several highlight reel-worthy plays that made fans drop their jaws in disbelief.

During an appearance on Thursday's edition of ESPN's "First Take," former player and current analyst Jay Williams had nothing but high praise for Wembanyama after his stellar showing against the Mavericks.
