On YouTube, a podcast show is a playlist, and podcast episodes are videos in that playlist. Your podcast should only contain full-length episodes, organized in the order that they should be consumed. You can update information about your podcast in Google Podcasts, such as the name or description, by updating your RSS feed. If you use a podcast hosting service, make your changes in the management pages of your hosting service. Google checks known feeds for changes several times a day; changes can take a few days to appear in Google Podcasts.

Note: Podcasts, podcast providers, and podcast voice controls availability can vary based on your country, region, or language. Each person can link only a single account per streaming service. For example, if you have two Spotify accounts, you can only use one across your devices.

Google Podcasts is a podcasting directory; this means that podcast listening apps and other podcast listening services use Google Podcasts to find podcasts and enable playback. Google Podcasts does not store your RSS feed or audio files, but rather points to the RSS feed and audio files that you have posted elsewhere.

Hover over the podcast you’d like to edit and click Details. On the Podcast details page under “RSS settings,” click Connect to RSS feed. To avoid uploading duplicate episodes, we recommend uploading episodes after the most recent episode already on YouTube. You can set this date when you submit your RSS feed in Studio.

Feeds without all the required tags might not be indexed by Google. Some tags are not required to appear as a podcast in search, but are required to be eligible as a recommended podcast on Google surfaces.
