Reinstall HBO Max (go to the PlayStation Store and download HBO Max). Open HBO Max, sign in, and try using the app again. PlayStation 5. From the Media home menu on your PlayStation 5, highlight HBO Max and then press the Options button on your controller. Choose Delete then OK. Reinstall HBO Max (go to All Apps and download HBO Max).

Feb 3, 2023 · every time I turn the Tv/Roku back on the next day or 30 + minutes later, or just turning it back on in general, I always have to restart the Roku or else, the screen will stay black if I choose a show or movie to watch from HBO Max, paramount , Hulu, etc. restarting it helps but that’s just annoying to do every time I turn the TV back on.

Solved: How to fix no sound or audio from HBO Max channel
Dec 18, 2020 · What was weird for us is the audo issue was only affecting the new HBO Max app and the audio in the older apps worked fine. I am thinking that maybe some of the newer apps require different audio settings. FYI, the sound is also working in our older apps with the PCM - Stereo setting. The setting we had previously was Auto detect

Jan 14, 2025 · I found the problem causing the audio to keep cutting out on HUlu/HBO and Disney. I have 3 Roku devices and only have it happen on my living room TV I recently switched TVs and got a new Roku device but same problem. I finally turned off my sound bar and used just the TV speakers and no more audio skipping at all.
Unable to login to Max on Roku after HBO Max changed
May 24, 2023 · Cannot log in to Max (formerly HBO Max) via Roku app anymore. TV screen says to "update" to Max but there's no QR code to scan or any way to login to Max from the TV. I canceled the HBO Max subscription that I was getting from Roku and then signed up for Max directly through their website. Still cannot login to Max app from TV via Roku.

Solutions I have tried: I have signed out (not just exited) from Max, deleted the app, done a system restart of Roku, reinstalled the Max app, restarted Roku again, signed up again into Max, restarted Roku once again… and the problem is still there!

Feb 5, 2023 · @mossymissy . Regarding Prime Video HBO Max, and Hulu, these are "per-device" logins so you can Sign-out from your credentials and then Sign-in with the daughter's credentials on one TV/Roku device without affecting your other two Roku devices.
Keeps kicking me out of my apps and back to the home screen
Feb 28, 2023 · Help! So on apps especially Hulu, prime and HBO max within minutes of beginning a show it kicks me off and back to the home screen. This just started about a week ago and I just deleted and reinstalled the apps and still having the same issues.
