Last year, we had the honor to interview one of the 23 living comfort women from the Japanese colonial era, Madame Kim Bok-dong. She passed away on January 28, 2019 at the age of 92. Though she dedicated her life to the cause of helping wartime rape victims, she never received an official apology from the Japanese government.
